The National Affiliation of Insurance policies Commissioners (NAIC) will have officers for 2021. The newly-elected officers will presume their duties on Jan. 1, 2021.
Users of the association of regulators elected these leaders for the new year:
President: Florida Coverage Commissioner David Altmaier

Altmaier was appointed commissioner of the Florida Business office of Insurance Regulation (OIR) by the Financial Products and services Commission on April 29, 2016. Altmaier started his general public service at OIR in 2008, serving in a variety of roles together with chief analyst of the House and Casualty Financial Oversight device and deputy commissioner of Property and Casualty Insurance plan.
Altmaier succeeds 2020 NAIC President and South Carolina Insurance policies Director Ray Farmer.
President-Elect: Idaho Insurance plan Director Dean L. Cameron
Cameron was appointed director of the Department of Coverage by Idaho Governor C.L. “Butch” Otter. He took place of work on June 15, 2015. At the time of his appointment as director, Cameron was serving his 13th expression as senator for District 27 as the most senior member of the Idaho Senate.
Vice President: Missouri Insurance Director Chlora Lindley-Myers
Lindley-Myers was appointed director of the Missouri Division of Commerce and Insurance on March 6, 2017. She has served in various senior positions in the legislative, judicial, and govt branches of authorities. In addition to Missouri, she has worked for both of those the Kentucky Department of Coverage and the Tennessee Division of Commerce and Insurance policies, and for the NAIC. Lindley-Myers is licensed to apply regulation in several states, which include Missouri. She has been awarded the Robert Dineen Award and the Al Greer Award.
Secretary-Treasurer: Connecticut Coverage Commissioner Andrew Mais
Mais was nominated as Connecticut’s 33rd coverage commissioner by Governor Ned Lamont and commenced serving on March 4, 2019. Prior to getting to be commissioner, Mais was a member of Deloitte’s Center for Money Providers, mainly focused on the insurance plan sector from a world perspective. Prior to doing the job at Deloitte, Mais was a director at the New York Point out Coverage Department (NYSID). He served 4 governors as element of the NYSID’s senior management staff by way of several occasions like the economic crisis of 2008 and significant state and federal improvements in overall health insurance rules and guidelines. Right before signing up for the NYSID, he served as director of a Connecticut nonprofit.
